Intro to Cold Wax Weekly Art Class

Mondays, October 23, October 30 & November 6, 2023 (3 weeks) from 6:30 - 9:00 PM
In this 3-week class, you'll learn the basics of using this fun and little-known natural beeswax medium—it's the bee's knees!—and walk away with your very own finished artwork. We'll cover the do's and don'ts of using the medium, how to mix cold wax with oil paint to create vivid colours and transparent glazes, and how to use various tools to create unique effects.
We'll start the course by painting a study to hone our skills before working on a larger final piece you’ll be proud to take home. Beginners welcome!

Try your hand at cold wax painting with me! Practice colour mixing and combining oil paints with cold wax to create a textured leaf painting.
Ages 12+. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
